Mumbai Indians handed a team debut to all-rounder Raj Bawa ahead of its IPL 2025 match against Lucknow Super Giants at the Ekana Cricket Stadium on Friday.
Bawa rose to limelight after being a part of the victorious Indian team that won the Under-19 World Cup in 2022. The right-arm pacer clinched a five-wicket haul against England in the final that saw him win the Player of the Match award.

The 22-year-old all-rounder has played 11 First-Class and List A games each in his young career in addition to 20 T20 matches, scoring one First-Class hundred and taking two four-wicket hauls in List A cricket.
Bawa made his IPL debut in 2022 with Punjab Kings, representing the side in two games that season.
