Rajasthan Royals pacer Sandeep Sharma heaped praise on his team’s batters and Jofra Archer’s brilliant performance in their win over Punjab Kings on Saturday.
“We scored 200 runs in this game but the wicket was not that good, so the credit goes to our batters, who batted really well and gave us an above par total to defend,” Sharma said in the post-match press conference.
He also singled out Archer’s early breakthroughs as crucial to their win, saying Archer “took two wickets with the new ball and gave us an edge.”
Sharma also highlighted the importance of their win over Punjab Kings, saying, “It was a very important game for us as we lost our first two matches and it was very important to take the momentum back, and it’s very important to take momentum in T20s.”
